Today, we finally landed on the surface of Forgotten, having left our home planet, Kuro, behind fifteen days ago. Thus, all crewmembers must begin keeping logs of the journey, as there is the possibility that our entire crew may end up like the crews of other expeditions. Suspiciously, nobody knows anything about what happens, as the crews either end up back on Kuro without any memory of a thought of leaving home, or disappear altogether. In the latter case, only part of the logs have survived.

Chapter 1 Who am I?
That depends on who you choose to be.
I reached that same conclusion long ago, but I have not decided on who I want to be.
How long ago? The passage and concept of time have no meaning here, except when new life is created, and one of us must leave.
I realize that. Do you remember when this void was filled with countless other souls like ourselves?
I certainly do. However, they were not like ourselves. They were given no choice as to who they could be.
Then I believe it is time for us to go as well. I shall give myself an identity without a name.

The room was no larger than a small apartment, yet quaintly comfortable. Its hard oak-wood floors and the old movie posters on the walls suggested the remembrance of a bygone era. Within the cobalt-blue walls of this room, one felt as if one existed outside of the flow of time. This room had only one occupant, who was seated on a faux-leather chair, behind a granite-topped desk, on which sat an ancient LCD monitor and desktop, controlled via an archaic mouse-and-keyboard setup.
